I like Jeff Jackson for 2028, among a few others. I think he can bring a few southern states with him, and that's how we can win.

Then he can run for POTUS. I don't want to lose him him here as a leader in NC to just a VP slot.
And if he ever does run for the Senate again, the party had damn well better not make him step aside for someone else like they did when Cal Cunningham and Cheri Beasley ran and lost. He could have won (the CC race in particular was his for the taking, IMO) and I am still angry about that.
