The US has told Denmark to "calm down" after the top US diplomat in Copenhagen was summoned over claims that Americans had been conducting covert operations in Greenland.

Denmark's public broadcaster DR quoted sources as saying the aim was to infiltrate society and promote its secession from Denmark to the US, although it was unable to clarify who the men were working for.

A White House official would not confirm an influence campaign was underway, but said: "We think the Danes need to calm down."

Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said "any attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of the Kingdom [of Denmark] will of course be unacceptable".

Can't recall the man's name but I heard him say he just didn't understand Canada's aggressive pushback to Trump's tariffs and trade offers. This after innumerable instances of threatening their sovereignty--all the 'Make Canada Our 51st state' nonsense. According to the Administration, the escalating trade war with Canada is Canada's fault.

Agent Orange is purposely isolating the US from the rest of the world, particularly our allies who are turning their collective backs to America. Modi in India won't even return Trump's calls.

This sloppy influence operation in Greenland is just one more insult, this time to Denmark. The 'calm down' warning is typical, completely tone deaf and arrogant. The Mafia Don expects everyone to roll over to his whims and fantasies.
