Question about Hillary leaving State..

I seemed to have missed any formal announcement she was leaving the post.

I DID hear that she said she wanted to leave after the election
and now I hear Kerry is picked to replace her
but I missed hearing the announcement she was leaving.

What's up with that, anyone know?
