Dear DU Friends, this is my appeal for a post l I appreciate your thoughts. I want to clarify something important: I am not antisemitic, and I fully support the Democratic Party, as I stated this in my post. Ive noticed that posts criticizing Netanyahu and Israels documented actions in Palestine are being flagged and removed. I understand the deep sensitivity around these topics, especially given the historical persecution of the Jewish people and the importance of protecting against hate. That said, Ive been careful to express my support for Israel and for Democrats. The words included at the end of my post was sincere and rooted in respect. Additionally, I referenced publicly available information: Arrest warrant issued by ICC on 21 November 2024, Benjamin Netanyahu Allegedly responsible for the war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare and of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts from at least 8 October 2023 until at least 20 May 2024. As many of us know, criticizing the policies of a leader or a government is not the same as attacking a religion or its followers. The prayer I includedknown as the priestly blessingis a sacred and beautiful tradition in Judaism, and I shared it with reverence. In my view, DU needs to take a closer look at how criticism of Netanyahu and Israeli policy is being flagged. Ive seen others raise this concern, and it feels like voices advocating for the oppressed are being silenced. Thats not the DU I believe in. Ill be posting this to the Forum. Thanks for hearing me out.
