...first of all, Trump does not look well in any of the photos provided by or to the press.

Donald Trump walks through the parking lot at Trump National golf course in Sterling, Virginia, on August 30 (AFP)

...secondly, if anyone can find a photo of Trump actually playing golf, or even on the course today, I'd like to see it, because nearly every report I've seen claims he "he went out to play golf," or, "heading to play golf."
...on Saturday, he emerged, spotted by pool reporters in a white polo, black pants, and signature red Make America Great Again hat on the way to his Virginia golf club. Grandchildren Kai Trump and Spencer Trump were also along for the ride.

Each and every one I've seen making this claim, directly, have included an old photo of Trump playing golf. Where are the photos of Trump playing golf today, and what's the reason for the willingness of the press to make this claim, or give this impression; even going so far as to claim he was on the 'course' without so much as an eyewitness account?
...Grok put this succinctly, mirroring my own search efforts:
From my searches, press photos from AP and others show Trump at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia on Aug 30, 2025, walking with grandson Spencer and toward areas like a tennis court, but none explicitly depict him holding a club, swinging, or in a golf cart. No official White House photos were released. Eyewitness accounts are limited to general reports of him golfing there amid rumors, without specific details of play.

(5,545 posts)however I don't think that the health conditions are at all comparable. FDR's mental health was completely sound right up to his death. He had been virtually paralyzed from the waist down by polio for decades, but that didn't affect his ability to perform as president.
Think of how many people today are able to function and perform difficult jobs while wheelchair bound. It was only public perception which hindered FDR. Trump is hindered by his mental/psychiatric conditions.

(25,406 posts)Joe Biden had an excellent debate last year, in your opinion? I was shocked to see him like that on the debate stage. I wish we had some knowledge of his decline, so that we could have had a more united front against the Orange Menace. But, that's water under the bridge at this point...
