Vance taking over really means

Peter Thiel will run the country.
As much as one would celebrate Trump leaving office, walking or wheeled out, a Thiel controlled Vance will not be any better.

Vance is supremely unpopular--no cult of personality available--and these 'geniuses' have no experience in actually running a government, let alone controlling nearly 350 million people. Note on "Saint" Peter Thiel: Palantir co-founder Peter Thiel to lead 4-part series on the Antichrist
https://www.democraticunderground.com/1218328156

NEW!
Why America’s new crypto regime makes other countries nervous

The U.S. is potentially providing a powerful vehicle for tax evasion and other illegal activity worldwide.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/07/31/crypto-tax-evasion-worldwide/
https://archive.is/marck

Has the United States decided to be the Switzerland of crypto? The laudable aim of the Trump administration’s landmark cryptocurrency legislation, eloquently exposited by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, is to bring some much-needed regulatory clarity to the wild west of digital finance. However, by proffering an official stamp of approval, the U.S. is potentially providing a powerful vehicle for facilitating tax evasion and all manner of illegal activity worldwide.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Dollar-backed stablecoins — cryptocurrencies convertible one to one with dollars — are potentially the most important application of blockchain technology to date. This special class of cryptocurrency, which at present accounts for less than 10 percent of the $4 trillion crypto market, was the focus of the bill that is already law. To be fair, the act incorporated many good ideas, such as requiring that stablecoins be (almost) fully backed by safe, highly liquid assets, including Treasury bills and federally insured bank deposits.

Critics have pointed to the risks that, despite the precautions, there will still be runs on some stablecoins and that fraud will be rampant, particularly among the smaller players. These are serious concerns. The biggest one, however, which has thus far received only fleeting attention, is that the new law does too little to make stablecoin transactions as easy to audit as debit and credit card transactions are. Once out the door, stablecoins are tokens on a blockchain just like bitcoin and can change hands almost as anonymously as paper currency.

Yes, in principle, everything on the blockchain is public information, but crypto wallets can be held pseudonymously; you don’t have to reveal who you really are. On top of that, one can hold scores of wallets, and dollar stablecoin wallets can be issued outside the U.S. by unregulated entities, in addition to being traded abroad on lightly regulated exchanges. Sure, government sleuths can often find clues that help them figure out the true owner of a crypto wallet. They will certainly bear the necessary cost in the case of a major terrorism incident. This is hardly feasible on a routine basis, however. If crypto was that easy to trace, its appeal might collapse.

You are spot-on regarding Thiel. The guy thinks he's THE NAZI for the 21st Century.

In the following, Ruth Ben-Ghiat shared what "Veteran Supporting Democracy" wrote:

Peter Thiel silently steps in.

Trump’s move to have Elon Musk step aside wasn’t a retreat. It was a distraction. With Musk’s name out of the headlines, many assumed the controversial Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had quietly ended. It hasn’t. It’s just changed hands.

Enter Peter Thiel, the billionaire founder of Palantir and close ally of Musk. Thiel and his company are now central to Trump’s newest plan: building a massive government-run database on every American.

Here’s what’s happening:

- Trump signed an executive order in March forcing government agencies to share data.

- Palantir, a company with deep ties to the far-right and known for building surveillance tools, has been tapped to lead the effort.

- DOGE has now been granted access to the U.S. Treasury Department.

- Palantir has already received over $113 million in government funds since Trump returned to office, and just secured a new $795 million contract with the Department of Defense. (Follow the money and see where it goes)

Palantir’s software is already being used inside the Department of Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, and more. The company is now in talks with the IRS and Social Security Administration to expand further. This means personal data, from tax returns to medical records, could soon be compiled in one place, under one administration, with little oversight.

This push began under Musk’s leadership at DOGE. Now it’s Thiel’s turn. And make no mistake, this is about power. With a centralized, government-controlled data system, Trump gains new tools to target critics, intimidate dissenters, and go after immigrants.

They want you to think the threat is gone. But it’s growing, and it’s being handed to people who have no business controlling our lives.

Stay informed. Stay loud. This isn’t over. Stop the billionaire takeover! “

-- Alt Park Service

They are all cut from extremist Christian Nationalism cloth with the addition of a level of extremism I have never seen in "mainstream" politics here. Seems pretty clear that Theil wants Vance as an American Viktor Orban. More likely, they have fantasies about Vance as Pinochet.

...
One of their book’s heroes is the Spanish dictator Francisco Franco, who overthrew the democratic Second Spanish Republic in the country’s 1930s civil war. The authors call him a “great man of history” and compare him to George Washington. They quote him on what doesn’t work against the unhuman threat: “We do not believe in government through the voting booth. The Spanish national will was never freely expressed through the ballot box.”

Nakedly authoritarian ideas like this one are not uncommon in the dank corners of the reactionary internet, or among the sort of groups that led the Jan. 6 insurrection. “Unhumans” lauds Augusto Pinochet, leader of the Chilean military junta who led a coup against Salvador Allende’s elected government in 1973, ushering in a reign of torture and repression that involved tossing political enemies from helicopters.

Pinochet-inspired helicopter memes have been common in the MAGA movement for years. And as the historian David Austin Walsh wrote last year, there’s long been a cult of Franco on the right. Nevertheless, it’s extremely unusual for a candidate for vice president of the United States to openly align himself with autocratic terror.

Now, I think that is a great idea.

Who should we drop right after that orange gibbon?

I am thinking Nosferatu McGoebbels. I doubt anyone else (except maybe that idiot in the HHS chair) in the regime has so much blood on their hands.

Vance as president is every bit as dangerous as that orange gibbon being there. Both are bought and paid for and both are trying to destroy everything because they can. (And, they have been convinced that doing so will make them a 'savior'.)

Would you rather die by burning to death or being stabbed to death ?

That’s a legit both sideser.

I wouldn’t be able to pick between Trump and Vance. Which cancer would you like today? We have multiple myeloma and pancreatic cancer..

But strategically I guess Vance is better. Actually yeah, I can’t see him getting away with entirely destroying the US constitution as fast.

The couch humper is NOT Mango Mussolini.
No matter how many times he changes his name, no matter how much money Dracula (Theil) and his buddies pump into a multimedia propaganda to prop him up, he has a non-white wife and kids, not that bright and a terrible liar.

Make no mistake Mango Mussolini was a useful idiot but the key difference is he had connections, a cult following and a pedigree.

The couch humper has none of that.

Maybe Stephen would stick around as a toady, waiting for his chance to shank Peter and rise uber alles.

Is that Vance knows he's a weaker leader and does not have the devotion of a cult following, so he'll try something awful to "prove" that he's a powerful leader, something that the most fanatical MAGA faithful will cheer on and demand that everyone else fall in line to support. I can only image what that would be. Then he'll claim he's doing it to "honor Trump's vision", like he has a direct line to his ghost, just like MAGA currently views Trump as infallible because he's "God's will". And they will eat that up.

MAGA Dies With Trump: The One Thing Pundits Refuse to Admit

The “figurehead theory” is fantasy. MAGA isn’t transferable…it dies with the man.

The Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter #515: Sunday, August 31st, 2025.

The Linchpin

Here’s the brutal truth: MAGA isn’t bigger than Trump. MAGA is Trump.

He’s the spark plug…the circus master…the one man who turned grievance into a political religion. Remove him…and you don’t get a smooth handoff. You get chaos… fragmentation…and erosion.

Yes…the anger will remain. Yes…the authoritarian current in America will keep flowing. But the singular juggernaut we call MAGA? That dissolves the moment he’s gone.

Because when the linchpin is removed…the whole machine comes apart.

He makes a strong case and I suspect it could play out sort of like he predicts.

Would the German Nazi movement have continued if Hitler had died after he became Chancellor? No. When Stalin died his repressive policies quickly fell apart. No one in Italy maintained Benito Mussolini's Nazi fascist government policies.

Strong men dictators are cults of personality. Take away the personality and you got nothing much remaining.

If Donald Trump dies in office, Vance becomes President, yes. He will nominate, and the Senate will confirm, the next Vice-President.

Who that will be is the most interesting question, to me. The techno-fascists need someone charismatic after Trump, and Vance does not fit that bill.

Theyll prob take more time and be less direct trying to turn the US into dictatorship, so, if the half-mummified oompa loompa gets impeached we're not AS fucked as we would be otherwise🤷 it would create momentum and he has less blind-fanatics on his side. Thats just my 2 cents tho

Don't forget what the russian's said when they found out about trumps pick as vp (https://www.newsweek.com/russia-state-tv-jd-vance-trumpier-trump-1926530). vance will do anything to please his russian bosses. vance is so money driven that he will play cut throat politics longer than his ailing "president" trump since trump is on a downward slide with his health.
