Anyone else feel this way?

I can see pros and cons in both the "Where are the Dems" rant by Ali Velshi and the counterpoint by Ariella Elm.

I admit to feeling uncomfortable during Velshi's opening, and did notice that it was heavy on criticism and light on specifics for improvement. As he went on , I noticed that he was far more emotional than usual, and it was obvious that he was speaking from his heart and as a journalist. I did appreciate that he called out some Dems for praise. All in all, I felt it was a good introduction to the discussion that followed. I don't know how many saw that, but it was by far the most important part of the segment in my opinion. Norm Ornstein had some good ideas for strong, unified action--namely, impeaching RFK, Jr. It's easy to say that that won't work, but Norm said Dems should be guided by "What would Mich (McConnell) do?" Stop worrying about the rules, and
following protocol. Start breaking some china and getting attention.

As far as Ms. Elm's criticism goes, it doesn't bother me either. She made some really good points about what Dems are doing. She is right about that. The problem is that those actions don't always get the attention they deserve. That's why more "out of bounds" actions, such as those suggested by Ornstein on Velshi's show are necessary. They break through the noise and the narrative the media and Rs work overtime to spread. It's not that Dems are doing nothing. But they need to start thinking outside the box.

At least that's the way I see it.

2. Seems to me until we give up on the impeachment solution -- which has not worked for us -- we're still losing.

Same with yelling, ranting, etc., about trump.

We need to offer some answers, like our own Project 2026/2028, to swing a few voters our ways.

Let's face it, voters won't pay attention to thousands of words of print anyway. Make it simple: workers' rights, healthcare rights, economy, environment, education. Come up with a clever/memorable name. A good PR team could do this in a day or two.

And I don’t think we are. It’s easier for our leaders to hold internal meeting, write letters, show up at rallies that only attract Dems, make appearances bashing trump without here’s what we can do for you, etc.

Hopefully, we’ll hit our stride soon.

9. I think the more out of the box responses, such as Newsom's and

Pritzker's are yielding results, although maybe not "serious" ones. Still, the more imaginative and unconventional the better our chances. In the congress, I'd like to see more efforts at things that might not work, but would give us an opportunity to at least put the Rs on the defensive.
