California COVID Outbreak: Public Warned To Wear Masks

Anorthern California county has recommended people wear face masks amid a summer surge of COVID-19 cases.

Yolo County's health officer, Dr. Aimee Sisson, said in a press release last Friday that anyone over the age of 2 should wear a mask while indoors when wastewater levels of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) are "high."

When these levels are "medium," people at high risk of severe COVID-19 (older adults, people with underlying medical conditions or people with weakened immune systems) should wear masks ...
