Arkansas farmers are pleading with US government to save them -- many face bankruptcy. Here's what Trump is offering

Arkansas farmers are sounding the alarm claiming that a deteriorating global economy and soaring costs are pushing them to the brink of disaster.

As tariffs begin to bite, the state’s farmers are pleading for emergency funding [1] as they stare down bankruptcy and foreclosure.

Hundreds of farmers recently took their pleas to Arkansas’ congressional delegation in Brookland, a community in the northeastern part of the state.

“If there’s no emergency funding this year, there will be one out of three farmers who will file bankruptcy,” said Chris King, a Woodruff County farmer who attended the event.

The farmers clearly see their situation as dire. Here’s what’s going on.

Food prices will keep climbing as Big Ag buys up more and more of the farmland.

Haven't we all heard it said time and time again that once these people get on welfare they never get off? You go out into the country and all these welfare farmers are driving around in new trucks, all decked out with tinted windows and nice wheels. They've all got the latest side-by-sides and UTV's, 44 gun safes, and they drive around in air-conditioned tractors listening to who knows what. In the mean time hard working Americans in blue states are paying their way and the government isn't doing anything about it.
I say they need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, get rid of all those expensive toys, and start working harder.

And they will still for a Republican next time, too, because brown people exist.

From the article:
Farmers like Trump’s tariffs
Despite the uncertainty caused by the tariffs, American farmers still see the president’s flagship policy as a long-term win.

A May survey by Purdue University of American producers found that 70% believe the tariffs will ultimately strengthen their industry [7].

If they were asked, what exactly makes the tariffs a “long term win”?

I doubt any one of them could explain anything about the tariffs….

And then some voice on AM hate radio will tell them they are going bankrupt because of the Dems….

so they will surely borrow billions from China et al to give these farmers a handout. But don't call it welfare.
