Especially since I'm in a very Native American area, "Two Spirit" is a joke and a slur. Not a dig at this person, whoever they are, but I know "Two spirit" is a laughingstock at best among the local native community, an in-joke of derision and mockery. Putting "Two spirit" in their profile basically marks anything they say as an outright lie or joke as a matter of course.

Those folks aren't Maga, and most I know voted Dem, but this joke lands and resonates with a LOT of them, something they'll tell to others and laugh. We need to be aware of it. Say what you will but "Pronouns" are dangerous, nearly suicidal territory for the Dem party as a whole.

Is your point that the democratic party’s needs more trans jokes? I’m guessing it’s that using a person’s preferred pronouns deserves derision if that pronoun doesn’t match the sex assigned at birth. “Two spirits” is an engineered term designed to capture the multifarious gender role nuances found in Indigenous American history. The problem is we are not a monolith, neither by tribe or by individual within a tribe. Some of us don’t like myths imposed on our culture from without. We are also just as likely to punch down as any other human. There are a lot of conversations to be had about transgender issues and the use of the term “two spirits”, but I don’t find set up and punchline “pronouns” funny.

I am a lymphoma survivor.

I got texts about ivermectin and lymphoma on a regular basis.

MAGA contacts find some article on the internet and they think it is proof.

I basically told the person stopped sending me this.

Back in 2003, I finished my radiation and I achieved complete remission.

A few months later, it came back; my doctor suggested a wait and see approach.

It went away naturally.

I removed aspartame from my diet.

I would never say that caused it to go away naturally.

I have removed aspartame since then but it still returned in 2019.

I am in my third remission today.

A lot of these people follow post hoc logic.

Their first response is personal insults / name calling. Then some sort of deflection / denial, often false equivalency, or "facts" gotten from Fox. Then they get loud or mad, throw more personal attacks and try to cow you into submission.

A preliminary research paper showed that high potentially toxic doses of ivermectin could interfere with viral replication of SARS-Cov-2 in cells grown on plastic dishes in 2020.
It was followed by small flawed clinical studies suggesting benefit.
It was then tested in two larger clinical trials in 2022 and shown to have no benefit.
That's why doctors don't believe it is useful.
