1. To them, treating trans people as subhuman is a precedent.

I even have a problem with the whole preventing mentally ill people from owning guns. They are no more violent than "normal" people on the whole. The one exception is paranoid schizophrenia.

2. They won't stop at Trans People.

Then it will be LGBQ.

Then women.

Then Democrats.

My question is how will they locate and confiscate those weapons already purchased? Searches of private homes?

4. The person who came up with this idea is brilliant.

It has created so much cognitive dissonance on both sides that the underlying issue itself is almost irrelevant, and it’s all about the hand-wringing from the far extremes. Just fascinating.
