Are Solar Panels Worth It? Man Says He Fell Victim To A Scam

How much you wanna bet, that these grassroots "exposes" are the work of Big Power orgs trying to kill solar? Watching to see if we have more stories like this trying to kill solar power. Can Republican legislation to ban solar be far behind?

Are there scammers selling solar panels? Sure. Are any Enron size scammers?

I had solar panels installed in 2022 with battery back-up. (16 x 450 watt) No surprises and 1st rate performance since. I did my homework, though.

3. Might be good to have a lawyer look over ANY/ALL solar contracts one is considering.

Friend works in land title insurance & sees a LOT of problems when people with solar panels, leased or being bought on time, when people go to sell their homes. Lots of really nasty liens and great difficulty getting them off the properties.

DO NOT LISTEN TO DOOR TO DOOR SALES PEOPLE. Even they don't know what's in most contracts. High pressure and want commitment fast. Show them out or at least take any contract they want you to sign to a trusted lawyer.

I deliver approx 500K watts of power to the grid, per month. I can't use it, so it goes into the utility grid. For that privilege, I pay $35.00/mo. Thing is, if solar power continues to grow, utility investment and rate increases decreases.
