Any munitions on a plane are grounded so they can survive lightning strikes ..

(17,147 posts)This is the only one I've seen that claimed that the aircraft was destroyed. Other sources I've found report 2 or 3 failed sorties, but nothing catastrophic. I'm not very familiar with the sources, though, and the reporting all seems pretty preliminary.

(72,543 posts)... it couldn't fore their missiles. The damage to the control surface of the tail looked pretty serious. We don't know what other damage was done to the avionics. It also seems that these planes are susceptible to damage from lightening.

(18,863 posts)And that specific tail number ID'd aircraft was damaged in a drone attack on the Dyagilevo Air Base earlier this year.... nothing to do with a lightning strike.
The YouTube creator is publishing pure nonsense for clicks. You should avoid them.
