"PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - U.S. Border Czar Tom Homan said Wednesday at a news conference that the Trump administration plans to “flood the zone” with ICE agents in sanctuary cities like Portland, Seattle, and Chicago.

“We’ve got 10,000 more agents coming on, we’re going to flood the zone,” Homan said to reporters on the White House lawn. “You’re going to see a ramp up of operations in New York. You’re going to see a ramp up of operations continue in L.A. and, you know, Portland, Seattle. I mean, all these sanctuary cities refuse to work with ICE … we’re going to address that.”

Last week, the administration asked a military base outside Chicago to help with immigration operations.

This came weeks after National Guard troops were deployed in Washington D.C. with an aim to crack down on crime, illegal immigration, and homelessness. Two months earlier, National Guard troops were deployed to Los Angeles, despite strong opposition from locals."

Portland activists have already dealt with masked feds in Unmarked vans during the first Trump administration, as well as many years of harassment by the Proud Boys, whose world headquarters are just across the River in Vancouver Washington.
