Just fucking died already for literally any reason whatsoever?

(38,001 posts)Spirit Halloween does not make one an informant. Even if it implies that you can inspect bodies.
What an unserious joke the US has become.

(10,156 posts)It doesn't mean he wasn't a criminal-- typically informants are. He's got all the personality traits of a snitch.

(14,301 posts)Today, during a Cabinet meeting, the President dropped his pants and defecated on the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.
Karoline Leavitt described it as a job that needed to be done and all Americans can be proud that President Trump performed it admirably. Each Cabinet member congratulated and praised the President for his actions.

Who is that between Schlump and Dubya? It looks like Herbert Hoover to me, but I'm not sure. I'm surprised it's not Ronald Reagan, patron saint of the GOP!

(22,883 posts)I've seen lots of speculation about that and was intrigued by the possibility myself at one time. Howver, I have come to believe that it's wildly unlikely. I could certainly see him contracting syphilis, but the disease has been 100% curable for virtually Schlump's entire life. The likelihood of a man with his wealth and access to top tier medical care going undiagnosed and untreated for decades seems pretty farfetched to me.
Come to think of it, most states required a blood test for syphilis (and sometimes other things) to get a marriage license at one time. All those laws were eventually repealed as it became apparent that syphilis was no longer a major public health problem, but New York still had such a law until 1985. That means Donald would have gotten tested at least once in his life, when he married Ivana in 1977. And if he got it later on, it's hard to believe it wouldn't have been picked up at some point.
If you were just joking, I apologize for being too literal minded. Even so, I know there is still a question about this in at least some people's minds, and it never hurts to remind everyone of the facts.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
