With the pharmacist at Walgreens who gave us our flu and COVID shots. She was appalled by all of this. Especially Florida. Between the elderly, medically vulnerable people, the people taking their kids to the Orlando theme parks, and the people doing cruises out of Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, and Tampa, this is going to be a fucking nightmare. I mean, cruise ships are petri dishes anyway. So is Disney.

because my dear, loving, always-kind mother had suffered with polio as a child and had a slight limp for her whole life. She told stories of learning to walk again, taking separate swim classes in cold detroit winters.

When my infant son was able to be inoculated against that. Horrible disease, I found myself bawling with gratitude to the previous generations and their gift to humanity.
