A good friend that has never been political is now worried about the direction the US is headed. IF US troops (National Guard) enter Chicago, he wants to go up there to protest. What are the democratic groups in Chicago/Illinois to contact before going up there?
PLEASE help keep this kicked.

Unfortunately, no life is untouched by political forces, for better and worse. Tell your friend to stay safe, and help them know how to stay safe. Suggest a burner phone.
