A time and place for everything

I have absolutely loved Newsom's trolling of Mango Mussolini. It's really highlighted how stupid those posts from Mango Mussolini are and the hypocrisy of rightwing media.

That said, there is a time and place for everything. They are starting to wear out their welcome in my opinion.

In a world that seems to be literally drowning in unserious people and ignorance, people that have shown a complete inability to understand the difference between fact and fiction, this plot line from Newsom may be running it's course.

Nothing about these posts from Newsom is halting Mango Mussolini's growing power and violence he is building on every single day.

He has literally declared war on an American city and meeting such actions with jokes and memes is just not appropriate. It's not funny. And he is not joking.
I keep hearing that we need to let justice run it's course, that he is losing but waiting seems less and less like the answer because we are the only ones that thinks he is losing. He is clearly winning. He is sending the military into Chicago, Baltimore and New Orleans and Boston now. That's far from "losing".
We need to take this much more seriously. We need our politicians to take this much more seriously.
We need to make a hard and complete break from all Republicans in politics. No more partnerships. No more joint anything. Even people like Massie. Fuck that guy. He will, unequivocally, fuck over Democrats in the end. It's in their blood. They can't help it.
We have to get serious here people. Stop saying stuff like "we have to let the process work" it is working. In his favor. Every. Single. Time. Even when it seems it's not.
The court rules to close down his concentration camp in Florida but then another court just let's it keep going. Doesn't matter anyway, Florida has already built another one.

Every fucking time you see a supposed "win" it either gets reversed or they just ignore the courts and nothing happens because what are the courts going to do? Wag their finger at them some more? The court orders are completely toothless and not worth the paper they are written on.

We need serious Democrats and serious Democratic politicians, to start organizing people and leading people in open PEACEFUL rebellion.
We need numbers though. Not a 1000 person march between 12-2 on a Saturday. We need 100,000 person march that that doesn't end at 2 pm or even 2am.
When did polite and timely protests end dictatorships? The wall did not come down n Germany in 1989 because people went home at 2 pm.
The protestors in France didn't just go home after a couple hours. The protestors in Indonesia didnt give up their efforts after a single day of sustained protesting.

All of them had jobs. Responsibilities. Families. But they protested anyway.

We are in serious trouble. Memes and jokes have their place and function. We also need serious organizations and serious politicians to do the hard work that is needed to met the moment.

You are a sophisticated consumer of liberal news.

Newsom is going for the regular person.

I get that. It's also comes across as joking or having a little fun at the other's expense. Those regular people don't always get the joke.
Years of failures from news media and politicians to properly call out his insane ranting, has left people numb or even complacent about there content.

If regular people have not yet got the joke, obviously Newsom needs to keep going
until they get it.

It is a valuable strategy but will take time for the regular guy to absorb it all.

The sophisticated consumer may be bored with it, but they are not the target audience.

Hyperbole humor appears to be a way to get people's attention.
A very clever way to do so.

All anyone that has responded to this OP have focused on is the memes.
Newsom is intelligent, a great leader and strong politician, he needs to less a meme facsimile of Mango Mussolini and more a organizer and leader i.e. Obama leading up to the 2008 election.

He drew attention to the issue, now he needs to use that attention to his advantage.

He is was in charge but played multi-dimensional chess.

Hitler never knew what hit him.
And when reality dawned he hid in a bunker and took cyanide pills.

He gave the name of TSF's disgusting "new rosegarden' the name Pedo Patio. I think it will stick. I say keep it coming.

The only time I think he should stop with his mocking of TSF is when he is sick and dying in the hospital. That might be a road too far, that would be a time to call it quits. Until then, each mockery gets under TSF's skin, and it effects him in a negative way, which is good for everyone.

My opinion

I read a piece a couple of months ago that explained the socio-cultural differences at play in this country. I wish I could remember who wrote it.

Meanwhile, I am heartened to see the people taking to the streets in large numbers, in peaceful protest, in Chicago and DC.

I believe the smaller rallies and protests that have been going on, all over this country, for the past eight months have the masses primed to take the streets when the next horrific action commands it...and it will.

I don't disagree with you that there could be more organization and action "at the top".

Given that Congress has let us down, I believe it is now in the hands of "We the People".
