Trump "strategy"...don't go over Blue State Govs' heads. Send troops to BLUE CITIES in RED STATES w/ "welcoming" Govs

Trump's latest 'ominous' threat shows more 'extreme' actions still to come: Ex-GOP analyst

"We’re making a determination now — do we go to Chicago, or do we go to a place like New Orleans where we have a great governor, Jeff Landry, who wants us to come in and straighten out a very nice section of this country that’s become quite tough, quite bad," Trump said on Wednesday.

"Maybe the path of least resistance here, if you're dipping your toe into the authoritarian waters, is to not go over the blue state governor's heads, but go to blue cities in red states where you think the governor will welcome you and see how that goes," (Tim) Miller (writer for The Bulwark) continued.

Miller added that the administration also appears to have some plans in store for Democratic governors who resist Trump's attempts to deploy the National Guard.

"I think that there are some more extreme ideas for the blue state governors as far as what they could do with the national guard that is under their control," Miller said. "I think the blue state governors so far on this have acted pretty good, but the rubber hasn't really met the road yet."
