for Covid. There are no updated vaccines available locally. And Covid's history has been a morphing disease. I may be off in the deep stuff, but it seems we had updated vaccines at this point in the year last year.. Question for those who are more knowledgeable than me in the subject.

I believe on DU yesterday that someone got a Covid vaccine in the last few days. They didn’t say though if it was an updated vaccine.

They have defunded research at leading institutions. Scientists were working on developing an annual shot that would protect against both flu and COVID. That work has been halted.

RFK, Jr. also shut down all the advisory panels working on an updated flu vaccine this year. As you mention, that's an annual effort to ensure the flu vaccine is matched to the prevailing strains.

Viruses evolve very quickly. RFK, Jr. shot down all the research protecting us.

He makes a lot of money from anti-vaccine cases. In his role he's now in a position to change the expert scientific record. That will help him win future court cases. He'll make millions.

This entire Trump admin is at war with all the advances of the 20th Century, especially Science for some reason. But also social progress — definitely social progress.
