This Kennedy heir is making moves to take on RFK Jr. in Congress
WASHINGTON – President John F. Kennedy's grandson Jack Schlossberg said he has taken formal steps to explore a run for Congress in New York as he seeks to push back against his first cousin once removed, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
In a social media post Sept. 7, Schlossberg said he had “formed an exploratory committee,” appearing to reference a possible run for Congress from Manhattan.
The post came just days after Rep. Jerry Nadler, who now represents the district, announced he would not seek reelection and after Schlossberg, 32, told The New York Times his candidacy was “certainly a possibility.”
Less than 24 hours before announcing the launch of the exploratory committee, Schlossberg floated ideas on social media about how New York’s 12th Congressional District, which covers much of Manhattan, could fight back against President Donald Trump’s administration.
