(15,593 posts)Citizenship is only bought or granted by somene with the position and money willing to sponsor a citizen. Freedom and ither benefits such as housing, utilities, or health care are "earned".
I can see the "government" allowing lifetime or generational contacts to work starting after mandatory school or training period, and the only option for those not born to the "right" parents are corporate hub (manufacturing, service, or agriculture) communities, mercenary or policing companies - or prison farms.

Why stop at just that? Why not have SCROTUS nullify the entire US Constitution? TAKE their rights away as well as the 2nd Amendment lovers who own arsenals of weapons and ammo for such an event! A Tyrannical government gone amok!

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
