Republican no more: Oregon Representative Cyrus Javadi dumps the cult of Trump and becomes a Democratic state legislator
Cyrus Javadi is done with the cult of Trump.
The middle-aged Tillamook state representative bolted from the Republican Party (Authoritarian Party would be a more accurate name) this week, joining the House Democratic caucus and switching his party registration to Democratic. He plans to run in next year’s midterms as a Democratic candidate.
While he doesn’t support reproductive rights, he says his values, principles, and policy directions are mostly aligned with those held by Democrats.
