Per my CVS in Florida.

Everyone requires a prescription for Covid shots. No exceptions, no special circumstances. The first person I talked with agreed that I’d probably need to make an appointment with my doctor. But the gal who gave me the flu shot said most doctors were simply calling them in when requested by their patients.
But, in Florida, you have to have a doctor to get a Covid shot. Wonderful.
Florida is going to be a hot bed of sickness this winter.

So, if one can get a prescription from the Dr., where to go for the shot?

But until I actually get my shot I’m remaining skeptical. You might call around, but as I said in my post I got misinformation first.

...and meet the FDA restrictions (age, etc.), they can write the prescription for you and administer the shot.

Got my shot with no problem—although when I went to get my flu shot at my neighborhood CVS they hadn’t yet received their allocation of Covid vaccines. However, when I checked 2 weeks later they had them. I immediately scheduled an appointment and got my booster (this makes my 6th Covid shot).

Full disclosure though. I just turned 70 and age is one of the qualifying criteria. Bet it wouldn’t have been so easy if I hadn’t been 65 or older.
