Everyone requires a prescription for Covid shots. No exceptions, no special circumstances. The first person I talked with agreed that Id probably need to make an appointment with my doctor. But the gal who gave me the flu shot said most doctors were simply calling them in when requested by their patients.
But, in Florida, you have to have a doctor to get a Covid shot. Wonderful.
Florida is going to be a hot bed of sickness this winter.

(2,320 posts)Got my shot with no problemalthough when I went to get my flu shot at my neighborhood CVS they hadnt yet received their allocation of Covid vaccines. However, when I checked 2 weeks later they had them. I immediately scheduled an appointment and got my booster (this makes my 6th Covid shot).
Full disclosure though. I just turned 70 and age is one of the qualifying criteria. Bet it wouldnt have been so easy if I hadnt been 65 or older.
