"Not-Trump's-Signature-Gate" reminds me of Vanilla Ice explaining how he didn't rip off Queen with "Ice Ice Baby."
This may be a bit of a dated reference for younger DUers, but Vanilla Ice was once interviewed on MTV about "lifting" Queen's "Under Pressure" riff for "Ice Ice Baby."
Ice...real name Robbie Van Winkle...calmly explained "NO...THEIR song goes "da da da, da da da da..." (HUMMING), and ours goes "da da da, da da da da" (HUMMING AGAIN).
And, as you might imagine, both hums were identical. But don't take my word for it:
