I think she taught him to always do the right thing; she is a bit more modest.

(662 posts)What are his bona fides? The oligarchs are well aware that the GOP brand is in the shitter. They may be sending wolves in sheeps clothing, infiltrating the party. We already know there is a sizable number of Ds in office now who are politically further to the right of a typical 1970s GOPer.
We all need to do a more intensive background check of all our candidates and nominees. Just having a D after ones name isnt sufficient.

(46,228 posts)Maybe before expressing "concerns" about a strong Democratic candidate you might do a bit of research yourself. If you had -- maybe one minute of your oh-so-valuable time, you'd have learned that James grew up in Northern Virginia, graduated from NYU in 2005 with a bachelor's in politics and began his political career two years later as Gerry Connolly's campaign manager when Gerry ran for Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and then as campaign manager for Gerry's successfully House campaign. He served as Gerry's Chief of Staff from 2009 until 2019. He then ran for, and was elected himself to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
When Gerry became ill and decided against running for re-election, he personally asked James to run to succeed him.
Is that good enough for you, or do we need to search through his garbage cans for evidence that he's really a "wolf in sheep's clothing"?
Good god alrighty.
