Most other reporters have been characterizing it as "pubic hair," or similar terms.

Personally, I'll cut her some slack for using a less precise word, when so many other descriptions are out there. I don't know what's difficult for her, or why -- but I don't need to, either.

More generally, perhaps we can spare a charitable thought for the doubtless many survivors of sexual assault who as journalists, do their best to report on these issues.
