Epstein's Birthday Book? Waste of Time.

I downloaded the pdf file. There are links to it all over the place. I paged through the entire thing. What's in there? Not much, frankly.

I admit that I did not read all of the handwritten text, but I looked at everything. There is zero evidence of much of anything present. Lots of blacked out faces in the images, though. I have no doubt that there is some sleazy crap in there, but I did not find it in my cursory look.

Should you download it? If you want to waste some time, you might want to. Otherwise, you're not going to find much that incriminates any living person in its pages. I think I wasted my time this morning.

Just saying...

Again, it's not actual evidence of anything. It's assholery, but that's all. If we focus on that kind of stuff, we're going to get nowhere, because there is nothing there that is criminal. We need evidence of crimes, not evidence that someone drew and wrote some juvenile crap.

We're wasting our time with this stuff.

for deflowering virgins, a rare commodity. An ultimate sexual power trip for these rich, over-privileged men.

I think finding that money trail would be enlightening. Can't imagine Trump didn't partake although if he was in the business with Epstein, he might not have had to pay.

I think this is why Trump was bitching about Epstein stealing his girls. They conducted bidding wars to take their virginity.

I didn't try to read the handwritten stuff; seems like most wealthy aging creepy playboys have pretty terrible handwriting. There's nothing there that's going to send anyone to jail - some of it is very skeevy and indicative of grossly sexist behavior (if not actual pedophilia), but there's no smoking gun that's going to get anybody done for sex trafficking. It's certainly embarrassing for some people, if they are capable of being embarrassed; the Trump letter is probably the ickiest, followed by the split-screen cartoon of Epstein handing balloons to little girls and getting massaged by women in bikinis, by the same guy who presented the mockup "check" for the "purchase" of a woman. Innuendo isn't evidence, though I get why Trump didn't want this thing out and still insists he didn't sign the letter. It hints at "secrets," and the naked, headless, armless torso he drew is grotesque and dehumanizing - confirms what he thinks of women in general. Many of Epstein's associates surely knew what he was up to even if they didn't participate, and the most telling aspect of the birthday book is the misogyny that comes through, the whole women as playthings attitude. Whatever crimes were committed by this icky bunch will be discovered - if they ever are - by following the money. That's almost always how that works.

You could find similar collections of material at any frat house. That's what it made me think of.

That is not to say that any of those people are admirable fellows. Indeed, they're all creepy assholes.

The frat house thing is key, I think. There is so much of that stupid crap out there in the real world. But, trying to turn it into some sort of criminal behavior is simply not going to hold any water. You have to look much deeper than that to find evidence of criminal behavior.

I'm not inclined to consider anyone who reads more than the felon's entry to have a meaningful opinion, but the fact that the felon is so intent on denying his contribution is very significant.

He hates being embarrassed in public. It's just that this "book" has been vastly overhyped, as if it might contain information that could be used to destroy someone's political career. It's not even close to that.

I hate that kind of overstatement, because it turns out to be nothing useful to anyone trying to get "the goods" on Trump and his cronies.

We need better ammunition that that.
