No one should shed a tear for Charlie Kirk

He believed things like school shootings were a necessary evil to protect the more important 2nd amendment, so we could have unrestricted access to weapons to defend ourselves from an oppressive government. His death is the ultimate manifestations of the rights and beliefs he fought so tirelessly for. While his death is surely a tragic time for his friends and family, for his political followers, what could be more satisfying than to say his beliefs were so important to him, that he died for them? An America where guns are controlled is not an America he wanted to live in, so why should there be sorrow from his followers that America is now exactly the place he wanted it to be? If it is preferable to live in a country with mass school shootings, then surely Kirk would apply those same principles to his own life, and tell you that even if he was killed by firearm, that would be preferable to anything else.

A shooting is not rhetoric.

Words are not a gun.

. . .were hateful, ugly and inciting violence.

So he might as well have used a gun, but he wouldn't have had the balls to pull a trigger himself, he'd let someone else do it.

His life and work literally made mine less safe.

So, I'm happy he's dead.

Is that they'll make him a goddamn martyr.

And I think unfortunately this tips the scales closer to civil War of some kind. Maggats aren't the only ones with guns.

And while most of the time I try to stay above these feelings, I really truly loathe those who are bigoted and unapologetic and they do so in the name of Jesus which is even worse. So fuck them all
I guess I am more of a bitter liberal than I thought I was ...oh well

Learning about him, he was pretty intelligent. Found a niche early on with rightwing evangelicals, then politics.

Sweet way to end up making huge bank, and a more than comfortable living

Who knows what he actually thought about any of it
