TSF and his supporters have tragically diminished norms for empathy, respect for law, courtesy, moral behavior, and
healthy public discussion. These have been replaced by anger, polarization, crude and threatening rhetoric, lies, and....violence.
I/we do not condone this lowering of expectations nor the violence.
I am reminded of the republican Georgia election official who warned against this kind of diminishment. Back in 2020. In a prescient and heartfelt warning against GOP silence re violence and rhetoric, his summary was that '...All of you who have not said a damn word are complicit in this.' There are very clearly people and organizations that deserve an outsized share of the blame for their rhetoric and their silence. Gingrich started it but TSF continues it on steroids. I will also place blame on MSM outlets which do not remind us of these real one-sided tendencies and of the many warnings such as the one below.
