Gabrielle Giffords, the former Arizona congresswoman and a Democrat who nearly died in a 2011 assassination attempt, said on social media that she was horrified to hear that Mr. Kirk had been shot. Democratic societies will always have political disagreements, but we must never allow America to become a country that confronts those disagreements with violence, she said.

(43,358 posts)Utah. Of all places. All the governor had to do was politicize this and now the story fabrication machine is going on in the background for political operatives to use this for more political drama.
Donald Trump has and is instigating violence in this country. The atmosphere of disturbance and chaos Trump seems to thrive on creates anxiety which permeates society. The negative effects are becoming deadly.

(2,018 posts)between openly killing someone for their political beliefs and rounding up basically innoccent people you THINK are automatically criminals because of their heritage, skin color, language or your own racist views, deriving them of any rights or humane treatment (you enjoy) then sending them to some hell hole of a country (that may have compensated you) to be enslaved, tortured and/or eventually killed there knowing you and your friends had a hand in their deaths.
Doesn't sound that different to me.
