Very touching post by Gov. Gavin Newsom, showing what a President should look like

Last edited Wed Sep 10, 2025, 10:15 PM - Edit history (1)

I knew Charlie, and I admired his passion and commitment to debate. His senseless murder is a reminder of how important it is for all of us, across the political spectrum, to foster genuine discourse on issues that deeply affect us all without resorting to political violence.

But I do not condone bigotry ever. Stop giving these people legitimacy. His words are to be condemned or how about remain silent.

It actually condemns his words because he said gun deaths are to be expected.
It condemns them because we know violence is used to enforce racism and sexism: Kirk racism and sexism included.

Kirk was a gaslighter and destroyer of facts, he would twist statistics to make his fans believe something that wasn’t true. As I have said before you don’t give bigots air you shun them. White people have used violence against minorities and they are still doing it. I did not shoot him nor did I want him to be shot, but as Malcolm said the chickens have come home to roost.

Almost like posturing or maybe jockeying for a position in the headlines. But then I haven't read any other statements on the issue except Elizabeth Warren's and I am leaning more in her direction on the subject.
