State department vows to 'take action' against 'foreigners' they deem to be praising Charlie Kirk's assassination

In a post on X, the deputy secretary of state Chris Landau has said that he’s directed consular officials to “undertake appropriate action” against any “foreigners who glorify violence and hatred”.

He added that he’s “been disgusted to see some on social media praising, rationalizing, or making light” of Kirk’s assassination.

Notably, Landau said consular officials would also be monitoring his post to crowd source submissions from users who see posts that aren’t in line with the department’s views.

So what is this? Just a "free speech for me, but not for thee" hypocrisy to complain to the social media companies? Or more? Consular officials work in other countries, but this seems to be another "chuck foreigners out from the USA" excuse.

First reply is from a self-proclaimed "journalist" about a South African woman in DC who posted on social media that she had sympathy for Kirk's wife and children, but pointed out his "keeping the 2nd Amendments means some gun deaths are worth it" viewpoint. That is enough for Witchfinder General Landau to reply with a Batsignal-style "El Quitavisas" graphic, which seems to be the nickname he's given himself when he's waving his dick around on social media.
