I grew up during the politically motivated assassination attempts since the 1960's

And the only two people of that group who preached incendiary language were Malcolm X and George Wallace. Wallace didn’t die immediately from his injuries but was paralyzed for life. Reagan said a lot of shit but not to the extent of CK.

When learning of CK’s assassination, I was naturally shocked. However, I have boundaries on the capacity to mourn his loss; I am in one of those categories he disparaged. CK’s words were harmful, degrading, and disrespectful. I am glad he does not have the capacity to say those things any more. However, I am sure there is someone picking up CK’s torch and running with it.

I hope CK’s family finds some sense and meaning in his loss and perhaps see this as a “turning point” to bring back civility to their friends, family and the nation. Repudiate all the nasty things he said. But I am not holding my breath on it.

The easiest way to HYPER-SPREAD hate speech is to make a MARTYR OF THE SPEAKER.

When will we learn this?????
