(although I understand that Novocain is generally avoided for elderly patients, yet the alternatives like lidocaine have a much shorter duration he'd have already recovered from)

not a doctor but sounds very plausible to me. Didn't he trip going up AF1 stairs awhile back???? They are trying to pump him up with IV's that is for sure. tic...toc...tic...toc.
