Vance would be way worse. So would Johnson. They may be somewhat less belligerent and moronic, but each is the epitome of True Evil. The best hope you have is that Vance and Johnson both fall off the edge of this flat Earth, then Trump goes. That way Grassley becomes President. However, as entertaining as that might be it wouldn't last. He's 91. Then it would fall to whoever the Heritage Foundation tells Grassley to name Veep. And Heritage is where all EVIL is hatched. But all that's highly unlikely since the Earth ain't flat.
There are no good choices here. Don't kid yourself.
Sorry to squeeze the jelly from your donut.

(42,507 posts)A first-term Senator whose Sugar Daddy bought his seat for him, arbitrarily given the VP spot by the Orange Overlord ? I'll bet he's as popular as Turnip's sons, Quday and Usay. Besides he's still wet behind the ears, and always looks really awkward and unprepared whenever he's on camera. I doubt he's any better in person.

(10,689 posts)My grandmother also had the same type of mini strokes. She kept her sense of humor but lost almost everything else eventually.

(22,729 posts)After I passed 55, it's been a constant battle against hair growing wild damn near everywhere EXCEPT the top of my head. My old man warned me about this.
I wouldn't make fun of any other man who had hair growing out of their ears, but he just begs to be made fun of since he's so vain.
By the way, I'm 76 and female. We have our own hair "problems". I'm fortunate enough to be fair skinned with naturally light hair (which is mostly grey), so any hair I do have on my face is like peach fuzz. None in my ears though.

Those ya gotta trim or you can't breathe through you nose... and the nose nuggets get caught in them too... it's a constant war to keep your air passages clear!!!... Oh, and when you get a sinus problems... don't even want to go there ... it's miserable!!! Snot all over you chin and mustache.... Yea, Nose hairs are the worst!!! LOL

(22,729 posts)We've all had snaps where we looked demented or worse. Just what the camera saw at that split second. If it were a momentary droop, caught on camera, no big deal. An old fart who's easily bored anyway. If it's continuous, whole different story. In that case, it looks like he's had a stroke. Painted up to look good but you can't hide the signs of a stroke.
Either way, you're right, he's not well. No one could live his lifestyle and expect to be in anything approaching decent shape at 79. Most would already be dead.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
