(1,217 posts)of a 30 cal high energy bullet hitting his neck not to mention the massive blood loss. Looked like he lost all human expression, motor function as soon as it hit, just wobbled and fell.

(5,352 posts)Maruh Kitteh has posted at greater length about this elsewhere, but long story short he immediately displayed decorticate posturing, indicating a catastrophic loss of blood flow to the brain. Basically, his throat was cut, and it took him a few seconds to die.
If he had been shot in the medulla oblongata, the brain stem, he would have simply collapsed, with no muscle tone whatsoever, like a marionette with the strings cut.

(56,898 posts)as many others have pointed out, generally one would go for torso or head. neck was more likely a "lucky" miss rather than some "perfect" shot.
It was someone very, very good at their craft, and they are literally toying with law enforcement leaving blind alley "clues".

(4,027 posts)We have no idea what the shooter was aiming for other than (almost certainly) Charlie Kirk, and the "perfect k*** shot" may have been incidental. It's like comparing the odds of SOMEONE winning the lottery, vs a PARTICULAR someone winning the lottery. They are very different odds, and I'm surprised that someone who seems scientifically competent would be this mathematically not so. Apparently also the shot distance has been reduced to 142 yards. I would bet that striking the upper part of the human body on somebody seated and not really moving around is something probably 10's of 1000's of Americans could do at least 9 out of 10 times.

(52,723 posts)The exact moment it happened. Every video I have seen has cut the moment out of the clip.

(997 posts)It is quite brutal. The blood release was like a bathtub faucet opened instantaneously full force, all at once. I think he was dead before he fell out of the chair.

(55,527 posts)Posted by A-Gemm 8. The whole video is about how the blood spurting in a certain direction, his ring finger, etc and the way he was hit were all fake. It's 100% conspiracy BS and when you do watch it it's obvious it is 100% real.

(43,094 posts)"died at" wherever. Only an MD can make that pronunciation, noting the time to the nearest minute for the official certificate of death.
Whether Kirk died instantly, a minute later or en route to hospital, if no MD is present to make the pronunciation, he wasn't "officially" dead, for the record. Legitimate news media are bound to abide by the record.
Classic example: JFK was almost certainly dead the instant the bullet from the front and right of him blew off much of his brain, but he wasn't pronounced dead for another half hour, in a trauma room at Parkland Hospital.
