If however you are building a narrative, this is one of things you tell in the story. The "perpetrator" may have been kept in a cooler for months. That is how you make sure they don't have an alibi. I don't buy into any conspiracies about Charlie Kirk, but I also doubt we will ever be sure of anything until the FBI is under new management.
