There will be an offhand and quickly walked back comment about “turning down the temperature something something” squeezed by some purple legislator in between declaring war on a populous American city or throwing down and holding a sitting US Senator bound and incommunicado in their own State.

Get any one of those louses to say the words "I'm sorry", and it will inevitably be followed by "if anyone was offended". As if it was our fault that they did something awful and we were offended by it.
