Just from the "engraved" bullet casings. It will take a few days to get past the official spin an self-congratulations expected from these clowns. If the family hadn't turned him in he probably would not be in custody.

(10,266 posts)information and more a memorial service. See you on Valhalla from Kash Patel where he will meet Charlie Kirk when he dies? Valhalla is not a Heaven, but a place to gather before the final battle.

(97,495 posts)You'd think Patel would not have suggested Kirk was not in heaven. Can't go to both.

(2,556 posts)It goes to their whole worldview of this being a cosmic battle, with them the valiant soldiers.
Imagery is powerful.

(97,495 posts)If he's in Valhalla, he ain't in heaven.
Not that I believe in either.
TommyT139
(2,556 posts)On the other hand, many -- especially the "white power" sorts -- would say that ending up in Valhalla is better than going to Christian Heaven, which would be more analogous to what Norther Tradition folks call the "grass death," for people who don't die in battle.
I do get the juxtapositionw with Kirk's self-proclaimed faith language...but that is precisely what makes Kash Patel's comments stick out as more meaningful.

(35,065 posts)The street is about 50 years old, so I don't think the street was named as part of a cosplay.
I always thought it was some NA word or something.
Oh well, if Valhalla isn't heaven, i guess they know where Kirk isn't going???
I assume they were talking about Kirk...
yardwork
(70,117 posts)It's related to Norse mythology, which is a thing with many white supremacists.
There's a whole sub-culture dedicated to Norse mythology among white supremacists.
AND it's a popular theme among gamers, who may or may not follow white supremacist beliefs.
What it is is a very dumb and childish thing for the head of the FBI to say.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bella_ciao
"Bella ciao" (Italian pronunciation: [ˈbɛlla ˈtʃaːo]) is an Italian song dedicated to the partisans of the Italian resistance, who fought against the occupying troops of Nazi Germany and the collaborationist Fascist forces during the liberation of Italy.

(55,485 posts)The Three Arrows (German: Drei Pfeile) is a political symbol associated with the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), used in the late history of the Weimar Republic. First conceived for the SPD-dominated Iron Front as a symbol of the social democratic resistance against Nazism in 1932, it became an official symbol of the Party during the November 1932 German federal election, representing their opposition towards monarchism, Nazism, and communism.
Since its inception, the symbol has been used in many different contexts by a variety of anti-fascist, social democratic and socialist organisations.

MSNBC just said the other arrows (apart from the 3) mean 'total destruction' in video game culture.

Apparently according to Reddit in a video game called FarCry 6
https://www.reddit.com/r/farcry/comments/pi7s7i/does_anyone_know_the_name_of_the_song_thats/
TBH: I just assumed it was an Italian folk song. I never knew the significance or anything...
It's like mariachi or Tejano music. I don't know what the heck most of it is about, but it's super ubiquitous here. It's everywhere. Some Tejano music is about drugs, but I couldn't tell you if it was a song about drugs or love because I don't understand much Spanish, let alone understand lyrics to music.
