Speaking as a gay man, I could see it being used as some sort of vague homophobic insult, but I could see it more easily as being sarcastic, like, "haha now you're gay."

Plus there's his pic wearing a cute "be the change..." T-shirt, where the "be" is a bee. Hard to see some early-20's magat wearing that, but who knows.

The MSNBC person who Knows All The Memes seems to agree that the inscriptions are multivalent.

I haven't made a deep study, because once we were certain he's not discernably trans, we've got other things to worry about. The trumpists are still trying to use all this to promote their "trans = mentally ill" BS, to prohibit gun access, and parlay that into denying us adoption and other civil rights along with it. They're teeing up a court case which could go all the way to the SC if their cards go right.
