General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsSorry to be so dense, but when I went to bed last night (late) there was no suspect identified
and now I see that one is in custody(good). But I am on the westcoast and I usually sleep in (it's still way before noon here) and I am having trouble catching up.
When I watch MSNBC and CNN it seems that the suspect is leftwing and anti-fascist. But here on DU several threads identify him as far right and a "Groyper". Complete opposites.
So I know which one seems likely to me personally since I have always suspected that he was going to be a rightwinger. But what is the evidence that he is a "groyper"? Is it strong enough that the corporate media will be forced to acknowledge it at some point?

Social media may make it impossible for the corporate "news" to avoid this connection to the rightwing eating its own

(25,530 posts)I did see the blonde lady who covers the alt right on MSNBC kind of hint at it, but that's it.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
