Or involuntary lethal injection or something. Just kill them. - Fox News Host (Brian Kilmeade) during a segment about the homeless population
I don't know what day he said this but it was recent given the chyron. Without a doubt, this is the most repugnant thing said on the air by a Fox News host in a while. If this had been any other network, Kilmeade would have been fired by the end of the commercial break. Appalling to say the least.

(13,961 posts)Matthew 25:41-46 (NIV)
Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.
They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?
He will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.
Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.

you cherry-pick the parts you like.
you reinterpret the parts that are inconvenient.
you ignore the parts you don't like.

(19,491 posts)No idea is too vile or malicious to discuss. This was Kirk's cynical and deceptive approach that is being lauded by far too many. He made outrageous statements that didn't deserve to be considered in any serious way, just like with this. Kilmeade needs to be asked why he would even consider such a repulsive "solution".

(4,271 posts)Multiple Instagram and Reddit posts strongly claim Kilmeade made these remarks, and several claim theres video/audio evidence and direct quotes. However, these accounts are all secondhand and often lack direct, unedited footage.
Some sources (like Media Matters and Threads) assert it was a "direct quote" but mainstream news outlets and Fox News itself have not acknowledged or reported this in official transcripts or press releases as of now.
There is skepticism even within social media, with some commenters noting the lack of major news verification or viral news coverage despite the severity of the quote.
Conclusion:
While there is substantial viral attention and many posts asserting Kilmeade made this statement, there is a lack of independent, major news verification or official transcript evidence outside of heavily opinionated or re-shared social posts. This leaves a real possibility that the quote could be:
Real but under-reported (early-morning, rapidly overshadowed news day)
Out-of-context/edited/manipulated, as sometimes occurs with sensational viral clips
Fabricated or AI-generated and then spread through social channels without due diligence
If you want to be sure, always verify by seeking out the original, uncut segment or a reputable news outlet's transcript before believing or sharing a quote of this severity. As of now, the quote cannot be fully verified as real or fake with the evidence currently available
Not at all saying this is definitely fake, but I would share it with disclaimers if it were me

(4,271 posts)I used it with the intent of finding out the level of certainty with which I can make posts on other social media expressing my absolute outrage over it. Then I thought "you know I really don't want to be wrong on this, let's see if I can find any reporting in any articles, or a prominent Democrat commenting on it" and then thought you know, AI is usually pretty good at that kind of thing.
I mean I was PISSED and I was going to post a pretty extreme dressing down, full of extremely harsh words for 'the right'.
I understand a lot of the AI hate, but there's certain things it's really pretty good at doing

(4,271 posts)1) Videos can be faked/edited, esp. with AI
2) It's really over the top, even for Kilmeade
3) Lack of any reporting (or statement about it from prominent Democrats) of something so outrageous other than on social media
Again, I'm *not* saying it's false (in fact I think it's unlikely) but unfortunately in this day and age, not even video can be 100% trusted outright.
