8. What is it with some of these older comedians, actors and sports figures taking hard-right turns as they age?

Is it the natural progression of things? Am I destined to wake up some morning screaming "All lives matter!" before I even think to yell at the neighborhood kids to get off the lawn? Or, do the decades of money and adoration, combined with few checks on one's appetites, just tend over the years to reveal the asshole that was there all along but well-hidden behind the talent?
