I had no idea who Charlie Kirk was up until this week. Apparently, he was some kind of saint and champion of free speech, totally deserving of adulation and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, someone who nobody is allowed to say even the slightest word against.

Did I get that right?

The irony is not lost on me that people consider his hateful rhetoric to be "free speech" but those who do not sufficiently mourn his death or point out that his rhetoric was hateful are losing their positions. And not just TV commentators, regular people are being fired. Apparently free speech is only for a select few.

The inmates have taken over the asylum and people have lost their damn minds.

7. I knew the new Trump administration would be bad

I had no idea it would be this bad. I thought there would be push back, outrage, checks and balances, something to stop this evisceration of our democracy. We have seen a historic overthrow of our country in just under eight months. I cannot bear to think what another three plus years will bring. Every day is a new horror. He has followers who are prepared to carry forth his evil agenda when he is gone.
