For those who asked it's confirmed Robinson was a Mormon

This was asked yesterday and this is the first confirmation I've seen so I'm sharing here.

The suspect was a member of the Mormon church at a young age.

The man suspected of killing Charlie Kirk became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints “at a young age,” according to a spokesman for the church. It is unclear if the suspect, Tyler Robinson, has been an active member of the church in recent years.

“I can confirm that Robinson became a member of the Church at a young age but refer any further inquiry about his Church activity to him or his family,” said the spokesman, Doug Andersen.

Leaders of Latter-day Saint congregations in the St. George, Utah, area referred questions about Mr. Robinson to church spokesmen.

“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints condemns horrific acts of violence worldwide, including the recent assassination in Utah,” church leaders said in a statement on Friday.

Christian either. Many still don't. When the reich-wing succeeds in their efforts against racial minorities and sexual minorities the religious groups will go after each other.

If we could get these religious groups to go after each other now it would weaken them politically. This isn't a tactic that people taking the high road would use though.

Or, at least, gives a cruel man an excuse for killing.

Could be what is termed "mental illness" by many. Could be what is termed "radicalization" by many. Could be what are termed "left" or "right" by many. So far, it looks like the Unabomber profile to me.

Perhaps the family is not in good standing with the church?

Torn between the Church of Latter Day Saints and Evangelical Christianity, a kid could get twisted.
