It appears from the words and actions of the Republicans in power...

...that they believe they will never be out of power and will never have to answer for their actions or their lies?

They believe they will never be subpoenaed to explain anything? They will just scream that it is "unfair".

Crimes are being committed and someone will have to answer for it someday. The Third Reich did not last 1000 years. There was a reckoning.

And there will be a reckoning for these quislings and sycophants that are now destroying our country and our way of life.

There is a well-known quote by Gandhi that may be appropriate for these times?

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it--always."

Their Supreme Court will be inclined to rule for them, and has set their president above the law.

That president, in turn, has shown that he'll use his influence and his pardon power to protect and even reward those who commit crimes on his behalf. Cop-beaters? Insurrectionists? Sure, pardon 'em all.

And many will to to jail. Including the orange kingpin. For treason among other crimes.

I wish they weren't so timid about this. I think they'd get a lot more support than they fear.
