Hold on, the Right cheered for taking guns away from trans?

Was just watching an interview with the young man who was engaged with Kirk immediately preceeding the shooting, and who was trying to highlight how only 5 out of 5,000+ mass shooters had been trans; but at one point, the question was raised about taking guns away from trans people--and the audience cheered!!

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but since when has the right wing cheered for disarming *anyone*?

That's a helluva slippery slope isn't it? Perhaps the left should be thinking of ways to exploit this crack, no?

We need to adopt the successful strategies of our opponents, and divide and conquer is one of those tools. Drive wedges wherever the opportunity presents.

But I'm still processing that they cheered anti-2A sentiment! Sure, it was for a marginalized group, but it's a crack in their absolutist theology about 2A. Drive that wedge!

Despite the popular myth the Nazis did not disarm everyone, just those that were deemed unreliable

They will cheer anything. Seems like they’re just scared to death of transgender people for some reason and there aren’t that many of them I can’t even imagine where this hatred came from. So maga, suck on it. The whole state of Delaware elected Sarah McBride to be our Congresswoman, a state wide election, guys, cut the insults. looking at you, Nancy Mace, who only got elected from a district South Carolina

Just a style note - no biggie. It helps our side not talk like the trumpists, who try to objectify trans people.

Those diagnosed or diagnosable as psychologically or emotionally unwell. (Putting it in neutral terms, to the extent possible.)

Those (R) consider "trans" to be a confession of one or both states. (As with all populations, expect a distribution. We're not all cookie-cutter in outlook and views and opinions, nor are they.)

They were not cheering anti-2A sentiment.

They were cheering a declaration that transgender people are so mentally ill -- simply by virtue of being trans -- that we should not be allowed the most basic right they say should be afforded to all Americans: young, old, domestic abusers, domestic terrorists.

That is how deep their hate is.

Please try to understand this point. This is a preface to legalizing taking our children away, "reeducating" us, denying us the vote, and jailing us.

This is not hyperbole. I can cite existing policies that if federalized would do each of those things. However I am late to leave for an event, so it would need to be later.

They won big on this theme. Even with Democrats. They are hitting this hard at every level.

Please do not underestimate this.
