Those of us who live in areas that are diverse should make sure these stories are told by doing exactly what you are doing here - relaying how interesting and powerful this was for you to see.
I live in a rather diverse area of Michigan. Just today I ran some errands and witnessed two young women wearing hijabs who work at our local library, a young mother speaking in Spanish to her toddler boy about a halloween decoration he was asking about, and two Albanian hairdressers at my salon who were griping about their husbands saying, "Why do Albanian men have to be so loud?" I got a chuckle out of that.
When my little granddaughter was in preschool she had a teacher from Venezuala who taught the children Spanish. It was so much fun to see her learn the language and all the kids just loved her.
This is what immigrants bring to our country. They make it a richer place to live. I would take living with immigrants over I would MAGAts.
