17. My hopeful interpretation is that TPTB including MSM are trying to tamp down what could be

a larger consuming fire of darkness and retribution...more so than trying to really resurrect Kirk as a good human.

In truth, Kirk's assassination is just a symptom of the place that the RW has placed us in for a while now. His death is not being used by the left to create memes or movements...it is being used by the RW in that way. And I imagine sane people feel that right now we don't need more polarization. There will be a later time for MSM to be more honest, thorough, and open about Kirk.

My college major back in the ‘70s was communications (journo emphasis) but I ended up working in music for 40 years. I was inspired by Woodward & Bernstein but music saved my sanity and that became my career. I used to watch some of those cable channels, but I don't have them anymore. I appreciate getting my information here on DU, and I occasionally watch Nicolle, Lawrence, and Ali online.
